Successful people don't do things differently; they do things differently. We've all heard it a million times. We all move up and down the entire day in a fixed routine, like tram cars on their own rails, until we have no value and are sold as scrap iron. But why is this the case? We all believe we are round pegs in square holes, living as if life is thrust upon us! We frequently envy the successful man or woman? And even if we don't envy them, we certainly wish we could perform as well as they have.
- Self-Confidence:
The first and most important step toward success is faith in oneself. Others frequently misinterpret their unwavering self-assurance as conceit or ego, and they are perceived as obstinate, boastful individuals. And we are susceptible to perceptions. We frequently abandon our grand plans because someone has discouraged us. If you have not yet reached the top, it is because you have allowed yourself to be influenced by what others say, or because you have taken too many opinions and shared your plan with too many people; stop!
- Pride v/s Self-Belief:
This self-assurance should not be confused with pride. False pride, arrogant pride, snobbish pride, and pardonable pride are all examples of pride. The words themselves make them simple to understand. Except for the last, all of the others are the result of a petty mind. Every one of us has a boss who takes our credit for his own; but it's even worse when the boss dismisses your idea as worthless and then presents it as his own brilliant idea! That is ridiculous! Great minds are always aware of the greatness in others. Do you have a big or a small mind? Try it out for yourself. Count the number of times you will praise the good work of others and appreciate or applaud their efforts in the coming week. To begin, how many genuine "Thank yous" have you extended? Why do the poor tip more and the rich tip less in restaurants? Because the poor do not want to reveal that they are poor, and the rich do not want to reveal that they are rich. Even if they did inform others, if it is true and they are confident, NOBODY can take it away from them! We feel the same way.
- Enthusiasm:
Enthusiasm is the second most important factor in achieving success. When once questioned about the hidden truth of my success: I promptly said, "My bubbling enthusiasm, that is most important in life". I do not mean excitement when I say enthusiasm. It is about having a rational, logical, and focused interest in something that will take you all the way through. Because enthusiasm is a self-releasing power that concentrates the entire personality on the subject at hand. Burning enthusiasm consumes all obstacles in its path and, strangely, it is contagious! Take a look: When you see someone who is happy, perky, jolly, and enthusiastic, the other people, the atmosphere, and the environment become so as well.
- From Profit to Pleasure:
Everyone has complained, "I can't find time," since man began measuring time with clocks. Nobody can. You must squeeze 26 hours into 24 hours. Where did you get the extra two hours? You don't obtain it; you create it. You squeezed an extra 2 hours of work into your 24 hours. And how so? By planning ahead of time, reducing waste time, and budgeting time. Budget your time as you would your money: Control and prioritize your spending. Put your time budget to the test: Tomorrow, from the moment you wake up until bedtime, jot down how you spent each 15-minute period. Make no attempt to make it appear well-spent. Then go over your notes and create a summary of productive and profitable periods versus nonproductive periods. Your achievements will speak for themselves. You do not have to be productive all of the time; leisure is important, but it must be used wisely. Playing a musical instrument for 15 minutes provides more pleasure through self-expression than watching a two-hour movie or listening to a two-hour live program. It is preferable to take a 10-minute brisk walk on the sand rather than sit on a bench for 30 minutes munching on peanuts. Time management is extremely important.
- Three People Existing Within Us at the Same Time:
We are made up of three people:
1. Who we believe we are; 2. Who others believe we are; and 3. Who we actually are. The better you get when the third category attempts to overtake the first. However, it is not always necessary to try to match the third with the second and influence or change other people's perceptions of you. You cannot make the entire world happy: Please decide for yourself that it is "OK" if not the entire universe praises you: you are not God, after all. You cannot run away from everyone in your life.
He who doesn't know and is unaware that he doesn't know is a fool - abandon him!
Teach him if he doesn't know and is aware that he doesn't know!
He who knows and is unaware that he knows is sleeping - awaken him!
He who knows and understands that he knows is wise - Keep an eye out for him!
- Finally, remember to stay young:
STAY YOUNG to run with time, ravish with enthusiasm, build self-esteem and self-confidence, enjoy pleasurable time, and develop your personality! To live well and happily, you must have good health and a sound mind. Remember our mothers' old adage: Wealth lost: Nothing lost; Health lost: Something lost; Character lost: Everything lost!! So, if you follow truth, ethics, and a value system to keep your morals high, then eat and spend your calories wisely to stay healthy, young, and evergreen: wealth, success, and happiness will follow you like the Pied Piper and his music!
