A Clear & Concise Description Can Help Your Resume

A Clear & Concise Description Can Help Your Resume

Job seekers and Human Resource Officers were happy and accepting lengthy descriptions of a candidate's candidature explaining everything he or she had done from school to college to working in various organisations 20 years ago.

With the passage of time, the requirements for writing an application letter and a resume have shifted dramatically. As a first step, you must use an application known as a 'Interview Call,' which is a primary document used to assess a person's communication skills. As a result, the information provided in the application must be correct and up to date. If you must provide detailed information, please do so in an Annexure to keep your application brief and to the point.

When you apply for a job after seeing an advertisement in the newspaper or registering with a placement service, you are likely to be one of many candidates. Here comes the smart move of presenting an effective CV, which is one way to get noticed right away. Interviewers may decide whether or not to see you based on the strength of your CV. Crisp and complete information provided in application/resume/ curriculum vitae as per company's call or advertisement requirement will attract more attention from recruiters and increase the chances of getting better exposure when receiving interview calls.

The next question is about how your profile should be designed and prepared. A few quick resume preparation tips are provided below to assist you in jotting down your information, which includes: who you are and how you can be reached, your objective, professional synopsis, core skills, career path, achievements, trainings and professional enhancement courses, scholastics, and personal dossier. Because we live in an electronic age, you can always upload your CV online for multiple companies at once based on the company's requirements and your areas of interest. Please keep in mind that an interviewer is looking for something specific in you, and you must express it in order to be chosen.

As mentioned in the first two paragraphs, the right choice of heads, font, size, and exact spacing makes a significant difference to your resume. What are your areas of expertise? Before preparing your resume, consider the following points.

CONTACT INFORMATION: Always start your resume with your name in capital and bold letters, followed by your mobile or land line number, and then your E-Mail, Skype, or Linked-in address.

OBJECTIVE: As you step into a new stone, you want to excel by describing more and more about your skills and selling yourself in such a way that the interviewer has no choice but to choose you.

PROFESSIONAL SYNOPSIS: As a new or experienced candidate, you have only your communication skills and resume to impress and convince the interviewer that you are the most qualified candidate for the position. A well-designed resume can come to your aid.

The professional synopsis should include no more than 7-8 bullet points, with each bullet explaining your expertise, experience, and capabilities with soft skills in a sentence format, with each sentence not exceeding 1.5 or 2 lines.

CORE SKILLS: This should include 8 to 10 keywords such as Project Management, Team Management, Planning & Commissioning, Training & Development, and so on.

CAREER CONTOUR: Start with details about your current job, then move on to previous assignments. It is critical that the description of your skills and achievements correspond to your desired function area and profession.

While sections that highlight experience, education, languages, technical skills, and other categories are important for emphasising specific skills and achievements, it is important to remember that rules differ for resumes that are unusual or unusual in appearance. Fancy and colourful resumes can work against you rather than for you.

ACHIEVEMENTS: Describe your professional accomplishments while working for the organization/s.

Mid - To - Late: Mention your highest education to the secondary education if you are new, and the highest with graduation degrees if you are experienced. SSC and HSC are optional.

Finally, try to be brief while not leaving out any important information about your personal dossier, job objective, function area, education, career contour, and any other relevant information such as professional enhancement certification, paper presentations, recognitions & accolades, ongoing or completed projects, and so on.
